Side Effects

The most noticeable side effect of an ice bath is feeling intense cold, but other side effects of staying in an ice bath for too long are:

  • hypothermia
  • frostbite
  • tachycardia (fast heartbeat),
  • arrhythmias (abnormal heartbeat),
  • allergic and anaphylactic shock
